I have always been passionate about art. My mother was a talented artist, and I was inspired and amazed by her portraits. My mom would stroll down the beach, oils in hand, to take classes at the Suntan Art Center . As I grew up my interest in art evolved, and I knew it would always be the focus in the my life.

After studying graphic design, and drawing , I decided to pursue an education to teach art. At the University of Florida ,I had the opportunity to explore various mediums. During my studies there, I became fascinated with clay. I have always explored using the figure and the human condition as a popular subject so, I began creating very large figures in clay and minored in ceramics. After leaving the University , I began teaching art to students in the public schools.
My inspirations mainly come from nature...

After my daughter was born, I juggled artistic ambition and motherhood and found it relaxing and motivating to paint in acrylic. I became absorbed
with color and expression.
Today, I enjoy the balancing act between educator and artist.
