We appreciate our members. Some members make monetary contributions over and above their annual dues. We ask you to consider Suntan in your charitable giving, or in your will. We are a non profit organization and donations are
tax deductible.
Suntan also needs your time. we need volunteers to sit in the gallery, to help
with cleaning the building, and many other responsibilites. This is a big project we have taken on, and it is going to take all of us pulling together and helping where ever we can to get the job done. This is your center, here for all of us to learn in and enjoy.
To find out how you can help, call the office and talk with Pat Chase or Ashley Martin. They will fill you in on the many needs that have to be met and you
can choose where you would like to help. I guarantee you will find it rewarding and you will be helping us make the center our own!
Suntan has need of people to volunteer for the following positions:
Gallery Sitters - 4 Hours a month
Either 10am - 1pm or 1pm to 4pm
Monday through Saturday
Publicity Coordinator - Organizes and/or writes and distributes news releases re: all Suntan activities. Maintains and updates list of contacts
Newsletter Editor - Produces monthly newsletter in PDF format for printer. Delivers PDF file to printer, retrieves from printer, attaches mailing labels. Emails PDF file to webmaster. Another volunteer will take finished newsletters to post office.
Did you know Suntan Art Center has been around for over 40 years! Suntan has been at the Don Vista, if you don't count the three years we were in Treasure Island during renovation, over 25 years. The City of St Pete Beach has given us a unique opportunity to take over the building, a three year plan discussed before.
