Art Capability and Versatility for All
Although he began to study drawing in 1997 and watercolor in 1998 it wasn’t until he retired in 2003 after 30 years as a teacher and counselor that he had the necessary time to devote to his exploration of the visual arts.
Dave’s study of watercolor began with his mentor and friend Larry Golba. Since then Dave has studied at the Toledo Museum of Art, with PBS artist Terry Madden and most recently with renowned artist, Tony Couch.
Dave is inspired by the beauty of transparent watercolor and the splendor of God’s creations. Frequently painting “en plein air” his goal is to capture the atmosphere and hues of the landscapes, creatures and scenes which stimulate all of
our senses.
For over 20 years, Dave and his wife have vacationed in Pass a Grille Beach in Florida.
When they are not spending time with their 5 grandchildren in Ohio, look for them on the balcony of their place in Pass-A-Grille.
