Spectral Musings — a history, ghost and art tour — was presented Saturday, Oct. 22, in the Don Vista Building, 3300 Gulf Blvd., St. Pete Beach. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. with tours at 7, 7:30, 8 and 8:30 p.m. Tours are designed to be family friendly and for people of all ages. The event ends at 9 p.m. The suggested donation for the public and guests is $5. St. Petersburg Paranormal Investigation and the Suntan Art Center will host this event to offer an opportunity to learn more about the historic Don Vista building.
Thomas Rowe(pictured), the builder of the Don CeSar, lived in the Don Vista during its construction next door. Participants are invited to see if they can catch a glimpse of three mysterious presences: The Running Man, the Hostess, or the Old Man, each with its own spot in the Don Vista. Perhaps one of the presences is Thomas Rowe, checking up on his former home. Paranormalist and professor Dr. Brandy Stark will host brief discussions on ghost investigations, and members of the St. Petersburg Paranormal Investigation will be on hand to answer questions, describe their experiences, and assist with the tours.
The galleries of the Suntan Art Center will be presenting art with the theme of the Autumn Harvest. Artists will be on hand to discuss the art, and works will be available for purchase. The Art Center’s Craftsmen Gallery also will be open, and for the first time, a book about the history and hauntings will be for sale. For information, call Stark at 727-821-5759 or email email@example.com; or call Pat Chase at 727-367-3818.
