Congratulations to:
Kerry Didday & Evelyn Zwerner
March Featured Artist
Art Capability and Versatility for All

A past president of Suntan, Kerry graduated from the University of Cincinnati and the College of Design, Art and Architecture.  He began his creative life as an Art Director for a Fortune 500 company and a local sidewalk show artist.  A few years later, Kerry founded an award winning national marketing and design firm as Creative Director.  While working in commercial art he continued to pursue his passion for fine art by painting, teaching and furthering his studies at the University of Cincinnati, The Cincinnati Art Academy and Artist Magazine.
Kerry is currently a full time artist.  Painting from his studio in St Petersburg, he also teaches at the Dazzio Art Experience on Central Ave.
Evelyn Zwerner has been drawing and painting since she was a child.  One of her great treasures is a certificate that she won for the best painting in the fifth grade.
She studied in New York at Hunter College and the Art Student’s League, furthering her studies in workshops with nationally recognized artists such as Frank Webb, Janet Walsh and Skip Lawrence.  For many years, she has been a part of a professional artists group under the direction of Judy Dazzio at the Art Center in St Petersburg.
Evelyn has been accepted into many juried shows and has received numerous awards.  Her work has been featured in solo gallery shows.  Twenty of her paintings were featured at the Canyon Ranch in Lenox, MA.

At first it might seem that this month’s featured artists are an odd pairing.  Kerry is from the Midwest and Evelyn is a New Yorker.  Kerry is tall and Evelyn is not.  But when it comes to their art, they have a lot in common.  They are both vibrant , award winning painters in watermedia.
