Create a dramatic, light-filled impressionistic landscape or seascape painting, indoors or outdoors without having to draw. Learn theory & practice in 5 easy steps to create your painting and achieve beautiful results in a single painting session. Paint in oils or acrylics. Suitable for beginning or intermediate painters
Class fee includes 4 weekly 2.5 hour sessions; 2 time slots to choose from:Tuesdays 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM or Tuesdays 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM
Double sessions are available on Tuesdays on a week-to-week basis. A student who has already paid for 4 sessions can join the afternoon session for an additional fee of $35 per session.

Join us for Open Studio on Tuesdays, 10-4, in the Libit Jones Art Studio. Come socialize while painting or drawing with other Suntan members, in the morning, the afternoon, or all day. $5.00 studio fee. MEMBERS and guests accompanied by members. No Instructor.

Painting with Oils: Capture the Sunset's Radiance!

Oil for beginners. Join Makaila for this workshop on sunsets. Makaila will be teaching color theory, line, shape, space, and composition in this 3-hour oil workshop. Each class will end with a critique. Bring your own oils and canvas of choice.

A 12 week course from February 3rd to April 20th. This watercolor class will help you learn watercolor painting through the experience of painting textures such as wood grain, glass, metal, fruits and vegetables, plants, water, seashells and rocks, a woven texture (basket), clouds, and animal fur or feathers or scales. This class can be a great learning experience for the beginner or a good practice for the artist who has some experience painting and wants to discover some new challenges and skills. It is very helpful if the student knows basic sketching skills. At the end of the series of classes, you should feel confident to create any painting which will include any of or a variety of these textures.
