We
Collaborated!
On June 14th we unveiled this beautiful creation.
What creation, you ask?!

Photo Donated by: Geoffrey Baris
This striking piece began with a single photograph of koi fish by Geoffrey Barris. The image was divided into a grid of 35 squares, each one assigned to a different artist. Working independently, each artist reinterpreted their section in their own unique style, medium, and perspective, without seeing the full image.
The resulting 12" x 12" wooden panels were then assembled like a mosaic to reveal a stunning recreation of the original photograph, at once fragmented and unified, abstract and recognizable.
The Koi Mosaic is a celebration of individuality within community; a visual reminder of what can be created when artists come together with a shared vision and diverse voices.
Visit the Suntan Art Center to experience the piece in person and see the magic of collaboration unfold.
